Privacy Policy
ramothaudio.com · Effective August 12, 2026
Ramoth Audio makes audio plugins and releases sounds. We built the site and products to need as little of your data as possible: there are no site accounts, no tracking cookies, and no Ramoth Audio database of visitors or free-pack downloaders. This policy explains the little that remains.
What this website collects
Nothing with cookies. This site sets no cookies. We measure aggregate traffic with Cloudflare Web Analytics and Plausible Analytics. Both are cookieless and do not profile you across sites. Plausible is EU-hosted, does not collect personal data or use a persistent visitor ID for these measurements, and includes an automatic data-processing agreement. We see aggregate counts (pages, referrers, countries, browsers), not individuals. Neither service requires a consent banner here.
Delivery infrastructure. The site is served by Cloudflare Pages, and large free downloads are served by Cloudflare R2. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver files and prevent abuse. We use R2's aggregate successful-request and byte counts to confirm that downloads were delivered, not to identify downloaders. Cloudflare handles this data under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
The plugin
Basalt never phones home. License verification happens entirely offline on your machine; there is no activation server and no telemetry. The plugin’s Updates button simply opens this website in your browser — with your installed version number in the page address so the page can tell you whether an update exists. That is an ordinary page visit; no other data is sent.
Purchases
Checkout is operated by FastSpring, our merchant of record — they are the seller for the transaction, and your payment details go to them, never to us. Their handling of your data is described in FastSpring’s privacy policy. From a purchase we receive the order information needed to deliver and support your license — your name, email address, and order details — which we keep for as long as we support the product (and as tax law requires).
Mailing list
At checkout you can opt in to product news. Opting in is never required, and the box is unticked by default. If you opt in, your name and email address are synced to our list in Mailchimp, which we use only to send the news you signed up for. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate. Transactional email (receipts, license keys) is unaffected by your choice.
Support email
If you write to support@ramothaudio.com, we keep the correspondence so we can help you (and remember that we did). Email to that address is routed by Cloudflare Email Routing and handled in Gmail.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (where no legal retention duty applies) at any time: support@ramothaudio.com. For data held by FastSpring or Mailchimp, their policies above describe the same rights with them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with an updated date. We will not weaken it quietly.
